About

Deslea Selmes is a diverse, senior professional with experience in many contexts, including public sector, international development, information technology, financial services, and NGOs. Her experience spans boards and committees, governance, strategic management, contract management, risk and insurance, audit, workforce planning, organisational change (including mergers), and sensitive, political, and organisational crisis situations. Deslea offers mentoring and hands-on support to organisations, teams, boards, and senior officeholders in developing their structures, governance, and people.

Deslea has a track record for building capacity in complex areas where no prior corporate capital exists. She has developed innovative responses to emerging regulatory, policy, and stakeholder requirements where guidance is lacking. She has a blend of wide-ranging experience and multi-faceted academic learning, and the ability to draw holistically on them both. She holds a Master of Business Administration, as well as qualifications in public sector management, project management, and adult education. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
